The authors of the series The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and King Arthur from the studio NeocoreGames are all working on Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr. Every day the game is getting closer to release. To stir up the interest of fans, NeocoreGames uploaded a new video to the network. Of course, it would be interesting for players to look at the map of the sky, images of space and much more, but the developers have offered something more exciting.
Fans were presented with a new rendering of nebulae!
Senior engineer Tomas Milikut (Tamás Mélykuti) shared some of his ideas on this subject:
“When I first started working on the appearance of the nebulae in the game, I gathered and looked at many links, such as photos from the Hubble telescope, to see how the nebulae react to light. what inspired different artists. And so I found Teun van der Zalm, what I saw made a huge impression on me. In front of me were not pictures, but images created using rendering and modeling in Houdini, and I thought it would be interesting to try to make such same work in 3D on the screen.
I contacted the artist and asked if he was interested in the experiment, and he agreed. A few days later (after rendering and modeling hundreds of millions of particles) we were both pleased with the results. «.
And indeed, space looks great!
