Iron Maiden and World of Warplanes have prepared another surprise for their fans: after passing a special marathon, players can get a unique Supermarine Spitfire Vb IM fighter, which is in the personal collection of the frontman of the legendary group Bruce Dickens.
Practically life-sized, this British fighter will also hover over the stage during the performance of the Aces High hit on the European Legacy of Beast tour.
From 6 to 13 August, the marathon of combat tasks will be available for players, divided into five stages. Those who complete it successfully will have at their disposal a unique Supermarine Spitfire Vb IM fighter, whose crew will be headed by Eddie, the permanent mascot of the Iron Maiden group. It is this aircraft that is in the personal collection of Bruce Dickinson, the vocalist of Iron Maiden and part-time pilot, an ardent fan of military aviation and a like-minded World of Warplanes, sharing the team’s passion for military history.
The most attentive players will find a number of Easter eggs in their hangars, referring to the legendary British group.
In the same month, Bruce Dickinson will hold the final episodes of «Airplane Diaries with Bruce Dickinson.» In the latest issue, the soloist Iron Maiden told the story of this «Spitfire». In previous episodes, Bruce talked about military aviation legends such as Flying Fortress, Hawker Hurricane, and Messerschmitt Bf 109 and others.
