Artifact: PvP builds

The content material:
As in any card game, in Artifact it is important how well a deck is built and how well you use its strengths and weaknesses. One set of cards can be formed to create powerful creeps, another - sharpened to buy items for gold. A few days after the release of the game, numerous builds from fans of the second dota and card battles began to appear on the net. Below we describe the four unusual decks that can be used to destroy opponents.

At least by choosing them, you will clearly understand the strategy of the battle and what is required of you throughout the match.

After you make your first deck or use one of our builds below, be sure to check out the basic game guide.

Artifact is an ever-changing game, so the list of the best decks will be subject to change. Perhaps a few months later, the options proposed below will lose their relevance. But surely it will be enough to make a couple of changes in order for them to become effective again.

At the moment, black is recognized as the best playing color because it allows you to create the most aggressive and economical decks. On the other hand, red-colored cards that have high power and provide strong heroes and amazing spells look just as effective.

An aggressive deck, the main elements of which are the “Headhunter” and “Phantom Assassin”. They are combined with some green spells and creeps, allowing you to create serious pressure on the chosen track of the enemy. In the past few days, this build has been seriously modified and made more complete.

We give a description of the current version.

Hero selection

The enchantress can support creeps and heroes by regenerating health points. She also uses the “Nature Refuge” enhancement to strengthen the Allied armor. Phantom Ally is an excellent strike force that, in combination with Bounty Hunter, will provide a continuous stream of gold.

Lycanthropus must be deployed on the second turn. It is used to enhance the attack of the allies, so it is best to place the hero on the track with the most creeps breaking through the tower. The power of the Fierce Wolves increases every time at the end of the attack phase, so they combine well with Lycanthropus.

Magnus is just a strong hero who can be placed to enhance any track where the need arose. This is due to the fact that initially it has an increased armor value. His spell "Mountain Power" allows you to increase the attack and dissection of allied units.

How to play

In the early stages of the game you need to dominate the tracks to gain an advantage in battle. Deploy "Satir duelists" and "Fierce Wolves" where there is an advantage in numbers. Do not forget about spells with buffs that allow you to increase the attacking power of cards.

You also have cards that allow you to get rid of enemy creeps and heroes, as well as a “Tag” to replenish the treasury. Almost all items are basic, their value does not exceed 10 units of gold. It just so happened that it was exactly the gold that the “Mark” card provides you.

As a result, we get a relatively cheap deck that allows you to insert sticks into the wheels of an unsuspecting opponent.

Deck upgrade

This cheap deck makes you competitive. In principle, in addition to low cost, there is nothing more to add. The only spell that would strengthen all the creeps in the deck is “Death Cheat.”

Improvement costs 5 mana, but it allows your allies on the strip with the green hero to avoid death in the event of receiving the next death strike. Since three green heroes play in the deck, this will be the perfect spell.

Build number 2 - "Red / Black deck"

Composition of the deck:

- Ax with the Berserker Cry.

- Iglogriv with "caustic snot."

- Phantom Assassin with Mercy Strike.

- Sorla Khan with "Siege Stairs."

- The commander of the legion with the "Duel".

- Overcoming pain - 1.

- Bronze legionary - 3.

- Duel (personal card) - 3.

- Adept of Neuvermor - 3.

- Siege stairs (personalized card) - 3.

- Caustic snot (personal card) - 3.

This energetic build focuses on gaining control of positions at an early stage of the game with the help of powerful heroes and creeps. After securing positions, the key hero will be Sorla Khan, who will allow you to quickly deal with one of the tracks before your opponent has time to strengthen it.

Hero selection

The correct positioning of the characters during the placement of cards most of all affects the success of the deck. Iglograve and Ax look powerful, which will allow them to quickly clear their paths from annoying enemy heroes. After that, Sorla Khan joins them (on the second move). Phantom Assassin is another hero that must be placed on the first turn.

But this card is less durable compared to the other two.

Sorla Khan - an important element of the deck. You want Sorlah to join the hero who did more damage to the enemy cards. They will probably be iglogriv or Aks. Although it is worth paying attention to the presence of creeps.

The ideal scenario is that Sorla finds herself on a walkway that is poorly protected and has a large range of attack, where there are also Siege Stairs or Adept of NeverVerom, as this will allow her to destroy the enemy tower on the third turn.

The commander of the Legion is the last hero you can take with you. Thanks to the Duel card, this hero can cope even without the power of Igrogriv and Aks. However, those who want to use this deck can choose any other hero.

The main thing here is the presence of Sorly Khan, Igrogriv and Aksa. The destruction of one of the last two could be a turning point during the battle.

How to play

In the first few moves you need to focus on the exact execution of certain actions. Use the "Bronze Legion" and "Elite Warriors of Stonehall" to put pressure on the enemy and create a good position for Sorly Khan, who must quickly destroy the enemy's tower. The destruction of the second tower will be reminiscent of the war of attrition, in which the enemy will try to strengthen its position. “Mercenary units” can be very good at an early stage, since by spending gold you can strengthen them to destroy creeps.

And the spent gold will return, as you understood, by the destruction of these creeps, after which the heroes will have to attack the tower.

In the middle of the game there are a lot of maps focused on removing or strengthening other tracks. “The blow of mercy” can be incredibly powerful, but here it is important to think carefully about the choice of goal. From the other cards, select "Exit ambush", which allows you to add two creeps to the selected track - the centaurs-hunters. Thanks to this, you can create a powerful pressure on the enemy and take up the destruction of the second tower. Finally, there are other spells, such as “Shot from the Hip” or “Overcoming Pain”. They will allow to seize the initiative.

If the situation requires it, then do not be afraid to attack your own units with a “Hip Shot” in order to earn an initiative.

Items of this deck are inexpensive, but since it is aimed at quickly completing the game, it is important to choose cost-effective cards. "Boots of Displacement" and "Dagger of the Jump" are extremely important for the success of the deck. Offset Boots allow heroes to change positions with another hero, and Jump Dagger forces the hero to change the path after the destruction of the first tower. "Sorcerer of sorcery" - a great option to eliminate opponents.

Deck upgrade

The only thing that the deck lacks is a little more cards to eliminate opponents at the end of the game in order to cope with serious threats. Killing can remove any large creeps, so you should consider adding one or two copies of this card. "Collateral damage", on the other hand, will give Solar Khan the opportunity to inflict even more siege damage at a later stage. The same card may allow the Phantom Assassin to damage the tower and kill several additional creeps. Finally, the “Back door” can be a good improvement for moving heroes immediately after the first tower is destroyed.

Build number 3 - "Black deck"

Composition of the deck:

- A bounty hunter with a "Tag."

- Mechanic with the "March of mechanisms."

- Phantom Assassin with Mercy Strike.

- Sorla Khan with "Siege Stairs."

- Sniper with "Liquidation."

- Ruthless pursuit - 2.

- The pupil of the murderer - 3.

- Label (name card) - 3.

- Siege stairs (personalized card) - 3.

- Iron Mist Mine - 3.

- Generous fee - 3.

- Sudden blow - 3.

- Shot from the thigh - 3.

- Ogludi-vandal - 3.

—Exact calculation - 3.

- March of mechanisms (personal card) - 3.

- Mercy blow (personal card) - 3.

- Liquidation (personal card) - 3.

- Shadow of the killer - 3.

- Traveler's raincoat - 3.

- Red Mist Sledgehammer - 1.

This monochrome black deck is characterized by high aggressiveness and therefore allows you to quickly accumulate gold. Her spells allow you to clear the tracks, while creeps and upgrades focus on hard and fast hits.

Hero selection

In your starting lineup, the Bounty Hunter stands out, who accidentally gets a temporary buff in each round. Phantom killer must attack the enemy heroes, while the ability of the "Mechanic" will violate any methods of these heroes, which are aimed at breaking the pace of the game. Bounty Hunter's spell called “Tag” in conjunction with Phantom Assassin will allow you to make an interesting move, allowing you to get gold and spend it to buy expensive items.

Sorla Khan is mainly used to create pressure on the enemy's tower and should be deployed in that part of the board where the cards are the least. Finally, the sniper must be focused on remote destruction, which is possible due to his abilities or the “Liquidation” spell.

How to play

You have to act as aggressively as possible with this deck. Kill priority targets or weak creeps with the "Tags" to maximize the flow of gold and buy yourself one of the items. Klaszurem's Hourglass will break the pace of your opponent, delaying the opportunity to play with drawn cards on the course, which can play a decisive role. At the same time, the Red Mist Sledgehammer is a common but powerful offensive weapon that synchronizes well with your heroes.

If the case goes to the later stages of the game, then try to get rid of all the heroes that can break through to your towers and cause damage. Use spells such as "Mercy Strike" or "Liquidation." The "blade of apotheosis" can be an expensive map, but it will destroy any threats and improvements on the board. “The Horn of the Leader” will allow you to call upon the powerful “Herd of Thunderbolts”, which can break through the defense of the enemy and potentially destroy the tower.

Deck upgrade

If you feel that you do not have enough gold, then pay attention to the card "Revtel investments". For one charge you will receive four units of gold. However, the “Tag” is a much more efficient gold generator. "The way of the wicked" allows you to strengthen your power during a siege. Since your deck is working on black cards, then using the above you can get a small push, which will be enough for the final destruction of the enemy tower.

This random effect will not always work perfectly and correctly. The second copy of the “Mercy Impact” will not be superfluous.

Build number 4 - "Blue / Black deck"

Composition of the deck:

- Moon with Eclipse.

- Lich with Chain Cold.

- Skyrag mage with "Mystical flash".

- Phantom Assassin with Mercy Strike.

- A bounty hunter with a "Tag."

- At any cost - 2.

- Coercion - 3.

- Label (name card) - 3.

- Iron Mist Mine - 3.

- Generous fee - 3.

- Magic assault - 2.

- I also want - 2.

- Sudden blow - 3.

- Shot from the hip - 2.

- Eclipse (name card) - 3.

- Extermination - 3.

- Mystical flash (personal card) - 3.

- Mercy blow (personal card) - 3.

- Chain cold (personal kata) - 3.

- Damoclova lightning - 2.

- Traveler's raincoat - 3.

- Dagger jump - 2.

- Robe of a tyrant - 3.

- The blade of apotheosis - 1.

- Horn leader - 1.

This deck, consisting of blue and black cards, focuses on the rapid accumulation of gold and the simultaneous attempts to limit all that your opponent planned.

Hero selection

The goal of this deck is to thwart the enemy’s plans until you can cast powerful spells (for example, Damoclo Lightning) or equip expensive items, including Horn of the Leader and Dagger of Apotheosis. For this, the Bounty Hunter is launched - a powerful black hero who can use the “Mark” ability and has good basic characteristics. Thanks to the Eclipse spell, the Moon is another great option.

In addition, she has a high stock of health points for the early stages of the game.

The phantom killer goes well with the “Sudden Strike” spell and allows you to commit aggressive killings of opponents, while the “Chain Frost” (Lich's name card) looks great with the Moon. Skyras mage is used thanks to his Mystical Flash spell, clearing the way for other heroes. You can take an Oga-mage with a wonderful “Multimagia” spell that randomly returns a basic copy of the blue card to your hand.

This is very good if the Damoclova Lightning card becomes the target for copying.

How to play

At an early stage, you will want to maximize your cash profit. The Iron Fog Mine, The Lavish Fee, and the Mark are ways to quickly accumulate gold. Save the heroes and creeps, use the spell "At any cost" and buy the "Cloak of the traveler" to help the moon survive. You can also use Sudden Strike to redirect the Bounty Hunter or Phantom Assassin to another target, receiving some more money.

In the middle stages of the game you need to use spells that cause high damage to enemy cards. The best cards for the destruction of the enemy will be "Eclipse", "Mystic Rush" and "Chain Chill". In extreme cases, you can apply the "Extermination".

Items such as Jump Dagger and Tyrant's Robe should become a priority in the store, while I also want it! Is well suited for copying one of the specified hero's equipment items.

When you go to a later stage, try to buy and use the “Horn of the Leader” and “Blade of Apotheosis” to create large creatures and cause great damage to enemy towers. You can concentrate the application of spells on the towers with the help of “Damoclove Lightning”.

Deck upgrade

This deck looks rather subtle compared to the others, but the two cards that, in my opinion, can strengthen it are the “Sanctuary of Aganim” and “The Incarnation of Selemine”. Yes, they are expensive, but when used at the right time, they will provide you with precious mana, which you desperately need.
