Studio Wildcard, the developers of survival-MMO ARK: Survival Evolved, will pay developers the best mods for your games for $4,000 per month, so they had the opportunity to complete their works and to improve their quality.
When in 2015, Valve and Bethesda have launched a system of «paid mods», it quickly caused the Steam community negative violent reaction that led to the fact that the system was closed, sending back for revision, but in the future it will definitely appear again, because Gabe Newell believes that developers of good modifications should be rewarded.
Studio Wildcard decided not to wait when Valve will introduce a «paid mode» again, and launched its program to reward the authors of the best mods for ARK: Survival Evolved. The authors of the 15 best mods will receive a stipend of $4,000 per month, but every month they will report on the results of the work done, and if the quality of work does not satisfy the required criteria, they will forfeit their payment.
This approach will allow the Studio to not only support content that promotes the game, but also to find new employees — so the Wildcard Studio has hired Cedric Burkes (Cedric Burkes), who developed the mod Primitive Plus, eventually became the official free addition game.
